- You can sleep in
- You wake up and your sheets only smell a little like pee
- The trash made it to the curb before the garbage truck came
- Your two-year-old daughter is entertained for 20 minutes by the neighbor's "lawn mower man" hopefully when she is 16 this won't also be true.
- You get up and the house is clean (well, semi-clean) and nothing is rotting.
- You don't have to be anywhere
- You can shower
- You have a package in the mail
What are your simple joys in life?
It really is the simple things in life. If I can shower and use the restroom without an audience I am a happy camper!
ReplyDeleteAnd a package, that's frosting on the cake!
So very true.
ReplyDeletere: garbage
In the winter it is always after 12 noon when they pick up... once summer hits 5am-5:30am.
R U kidding? It wouldn't be so bad... if there weren't local dogs out knocking over all garbage cans placed out the night before... its hard prying myself out of bed that early.
Its even better when your sheets NEVER smell like pee.
I can relate to your entire list.
